Here's the people who took part in this 50km night cycling trip:
1. Thow Wee. Our leader we led us in the whole journey and made sure that the traffic was cleared and we were all safe.
2. Eliz. Thow Wee's beautiful wife who helped us to order food and returned the bikes when we were all too tired and lazy to move.
3. Kaixin. She helped us to get all the ponchos and insect repellent and patch so that we were free from mozzie and insects attack.
4. Mingkai. He helped to take care of his gf and support her all the way even when he himself was super tired and in pain (I saw him hitting his own head and stretching his legs along the way.. he must be having a headache).
5. Eunice. Very proud of her to complete the whole journey as she had not exercised for a LONG time. It's really a great achievement.
6. Ken. He was very encouraging along the way, helpful to everyone and definitely more and more alive as the morning breaks.
7. Tianhua. Just got to know him for the first time and find him very easy to talk to. Interesting guy and very helpful too. He stayed as the last man to make sure no one was left behind.
8. Weiqin. Also just got to know him. A little more reserved in front of us. He was also one of the last man to make sure no one was left behind.
9. Elaine. I'm super amazed by her energy level and her strength! Not forgetting her super expressive facial expression that never fails to make us laugh.
This whole group of people made the trip really fun, enjoyable and full of love! I'm really thankful to God for bringing them into my life. I'm blessed! Thanks for being my friends!
The itinery for the night:
Before we set off, we had dinner at a Jap restaurant near Mac. I thought it was cheap.. but to my horror, it's not. Food was alright though. Check out my dinner.
So we reached Pasir Ris Park next and settled at MacDonalds for a good 1 hour rest. Don't you think we still look fresh and alert??!
For our last lap, we cycled back to East Coast to catch the sunrise. It was the toughest journey as we need to push our bikes up and down many bridges. We even need to carry our bikes up and down one of the bridges. Thank God we had 5 strong men with us to help us. The gals were exhausted.
So, we reached East Coast at about 6 or 7am and we caught the sunrise! That's Elaine!
And here's my most satisfied photo. Guess who this is..
Then we went to MacDonalds again.. for breakfast. And home sweet home for all of us. I slept from 10am till 9pm. Hahaha. It was a tiring BUT fun trip! Overnight and tough activities will usually bring people closer as we begin to go through thick and thin together. I love you all of you!
